Prior to the hypnotherapy session you will be send forms to fill out. Once we begin our appointment, we will discuss the reason for your visit and what you would like to achieve. I will then choose appropriate treatment to ensure that the session is tailored to your specific needs. Selected methods will depend on the reason for the visit and will typically include mixture of hypnosis, NLP (Neuro- Linguistic Programming), tapping and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
Whether you will be seated comfortably in my home practice or in the comfort of your own home during an online session, we will start the session with the treatment appropriate for your needs. You will simply relax and follow my instructions, which I will make very clear, making the session easy for you to follow. You may be speaking or may be quiet dependent on the method of treatment used. Depending on the order of the techniques used during the session, I will introduce a state of deep relaxation for your body and mind.
It is important to note that you have the freedom to choose to come out of hypnosis any time you like, as you are the one in control.
Hypnosis is a state of alertness, so you know exactly what is happening around you, you can hear everything, you can be quiet or you can speak. This is a collaborative process where I help you to introduce profound, positive changes that will benefit you and you choose to accept them, if you decide to do so.
You are in a state of deep relaxation, so you may feel like relaxing even more and drifting into sleep but that would be a very expensive nap! You simply choose to stay awake and be present in the session, so you can get the maximum benefit from it.
The first session lasts around 2 hours.
The follow up sessions last 1h 15min-2hours.
